IAM a self-taught mixed media artist who's intricate, collage-inspired portraits challenge conventional ideals of beauty. Working primarily on paper and canvas, I use sustainable materials—newspaper, fabric, pen, marker, and acrylic—to create bold, emotionally resonant works that celebrate Black identity, femininity, and cultural resilience.

My work dares viewers to look in the mirror and ask difficult questions: What is beauty? Who defines it? Each piece tells a story—some deeply personal, others cultural—but all are rooted in lived experience and a deep reverence for the strength and complexity of Black womanhood.
My portraits of African American women center Black beauty in all its forms: exaggerated facial features, richly layered skin tones, textured textiles, and expressive marks that invite close, contemplative viewing. These amplified features may make some viewers uncomfortable—but discomfort, I believe, is where truth often lives.
